Other than using GPS mapping you would need to arrive at the town of Coolalinga South of Darwin and the traffic lights at the intersection of the Stuart Highway and Girraween Road. Depending if you are going North or South you would turn right (going North to Darwin) or left respectively {left going South to Adelaide) onto Girraween Road.

The distance from the start of Girraween Road to the Girraween Rural Retreat is 12 km. Once on Girraween Road after turning off the Stuart Highway directions as follows:

• Exit roundabout on the second exit.
• Continue down Girraween Road.
• When you come to the next roundabout 6 km from the Stuart Highway take the first Exit.
• Continue down Girraween Road for another 6 km until you come to the first road on the left which is Hutchison Road.
• Turn left onto Hutchison Road and drive past Bohn Road and look out for number 98 on the RHS.
• The number is on a rock which may be hard to identify in the dark.
• Look out for the road sign in reflective blue and white identifying Girraween Rural Retreat.
• The lock box is on the right-hand side of the gate.
• Flip down the black cover plate and select the lock box code.
• Withdraw the gate fob and keys.
• The fob is sensitive so don’t put in your pocket. Hold fob by the edges and leave in your vehicle to reduce handling and unintentional opening of the gate.
• Press the pink button on the gate fob to open and press to close once vehicle has entered and you are fully clear of the gate.
• At any time during closing or opening you can stop the action by pressing the pink button once again.
• Please make sure the gate is fully closed at all times as the dingoes might escape.
• If Dingoes escape, please call David or Susan immediately so we can recover them. Do not panic as it happens from time to time and they will return to their comforts of home.
